Hypselodoris emma Rudman, 1977
The body is pale cream-coloured or yellow, with both the foot and the mantle bearing a violet or bluish margin. Three violet longitudinal lines and four brownish lines run along the mantle, their intensity varying between individual specimens. The gills and rhinophores are bright red-orange. In Pacific specimens of Hypselodoris emma, the rhinophores additionally have a white tip.
Hypselodoris emma is externally similar to Hypselodoris maridadilus and Hypselodoris whitei.
Hypselodoris emma has been observed feeding on sponges of the genus Dysidea.
